Wow - stumbled across this blog I started and totally forgot about it.  It has been a tough couple of years losing my husband, moving, starting new job.  And apparently along the way, while I have certainly not been strict with any diet plan, I have lost weight.  Today I am at 204.6 and have the same goal of 175 that I had two years ago. Just started a 'Biggest Loser' challenge with some co-workers and the contest is about 10 weeks long running from 8/22 to 10/31 so I have re-established my desire to get this weight off.  Back to my go-to Keto.  I actually love low-carb.  I love the way I feel, the food and the extra energy I get when in ketosis.  This time I am combining with some fasting.  Just finished an excellent book by Jason Fung "The Complete guide to Fasting" and for so many reasons there are health benefits from fasting.  I am currently doing a 16 hour a day fast combined with low carb (20 or less is goal). So it was nice that I cam...

And so it begins

The heaviest I have been is 232. On my 6' frame it equates to a size 16 and a pretty sizeable belly. Last night I weighed in at 217. My goal is 175 so I am looking at a mere 42 lbs to change my life. 12.28.2020 I started my journey today. I started with coffee and heavy cream and although I should have fasted for a sold day I did not. I treated myself to a very delicious Chaffle. Chaffles are something I missed when I did keto before but they are so delicious it makes you forget that you are eating in a different way than usual. This time I really want to focus on making better habits. I know that the low carb for life is the best plan for my health and happiness and creating a strong library of substitutes to heavy carbs is my ultimate goal.
